Ancient Chinese Medicine:
a health alternative of choice

Ancient Chinese Medicine

For many people, ancient Chinese medicine has become their health alternative of choice! More and more, people are realizing that there are more answers than those that are provided by at the drug store, and that the 5000 year track record of this type of medicine has shown that it will produce some very positive, very beneficial results.

Whether you are considering herbology for better digestive or circulatory function, massage for sore muscles or acupuncture for a very wide variety of ills and problems ranging from the physical to the mental, you can easily find out what traditional Chinese medicine has for you.

When you take a look at ancient Chinese medicine, you can see that it does more than simply reduce your body to basic parts. The Chinese medical arts will instead work under the assumption that the mind, the body and the spirit are all equally necessary when it comes to the health of the individual and to ignore any of them, something that Western medicine will do on a regular basis, is to court disaster. You'll find that treatments from this kind of medicine will frequently treat them all at once or one at a time, but they will not neglect any portion of you.

Traditional Chinese medicine can mean many things, and whether you have a strong interest in one, or you prefer to work with a variety, you'll find that they are often quite complementary.

How It Works

A diagnosis will be given on a wide variety of aspects, including your current health, any symptoms that you might be experiencing, as well as your past history, including any emotional stress or trauma. You'll also find that tongue diagnosis, a survey of your organ system, and your pulse are used to figure out what is going on with your body.

Essentially, one of the founding principles of ancient Chinese medicine is the fact that there is a natural flow of energy called qi that runs through your system. The flow of the qi is quite important and if it is blocked, slowed, or even moving to quickly, you will experience an imbalance that can allow disease and chronic pain to take hold.

At the most basic level, traditional Chinese medicine will seek to redirect the qi back to how it needs to be. Depending on what your condition is, your qi needs to be brought into balance.

While some aspects of this type of medicine remain very obscure to Western scientists and doctors, others, like a great deal of the field of herbology, have been determined to be completely accurate. The use of some Chinese herbs have done a great deal to heal and otherwise restore patients to health.

If you or someone you love is in a situation where Western medicine doesn't seem to be providing the answers, or if you are simply looking for more alternatives than pills or routine doctor's visits, see what ancient Chinese medicine can do for you. There are plenty of different answers out there for you, and you'll find that some of them will lead you to very ancient practices, that have proven their worth over the centuries.
